About Tami
From My Path to Yours
Warm, evidence-based support for teens, adults, couples, servicemembers, their families and veterans navigating change, trauma, relationships, and parts of life that feel harder than expected.
Hi, I’m Tami.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy works best when you feel comfortable enough to be honest, understood enough to feel less alone, and supported enough to try something different.
Military life is personal to me.
A path shaped by purpose
For more than two decades, Tami's life has been shaped by military service through the family she has proudly supported. As the spouse of an active-duty service member for over 20 years, she has experienced the many moves, deployments, changing communities, and uncertainty that come with military life. Together, she and her husband raised their son within that lifestyle, and today, he continues the family's legacy of service as an active-duty Soldier. These experiences have given Tami a deeply personal understanding sacrifice, adaptability, what it means to build a home in unfamiliar places, create community wherever life leads, navigate seasons of separation, and continue moving forward through uncertainty. Supporting service members, veterans, military spouses, and their children is more than a professional passion, it is part of who she is and will always remain at the heart of her work.
Throughout her career, Tami has had the privilege of walking alongside military-connected children and families in multiple settings. She has provided direct support while serving in Child Development Centers on military installations, helping young children and their families during some of their earliest years.
She has provided confidential counseling and support to military children as they navigated deployments, reunifications, relocations, grief, anxiety, family transitions, and the unique challenges that come with military life.
Tami's professional journey has also allowed her to serve an incredibly diverse range of individuals and communities across the country. She has worked with individuals experiencing homelessness and financial hardship in Los Angeles, partnered with young children, educators, and families in early childhood programs throughout Louisiana, supported at-risk youth and families in North Carolina, nonprofit organizations, schools, community-based programs, and private practice. These experiences have strengthened her belief that healing begins with connection, compassion, and meeting each person where they are.
How I work
Therapy shouldn’t feel one-size-fits-all.
I draw from different approaches depending on what you’re bringing in, what feels useful, and where we’re trying to go.
EMDR + Trauma-Informed Care
Work through experiences that still feel present, understand your reactions, and help the past take up less space in your life.
CBT + Motivational Interviewing
Notice patterns in your thoughts, emotions, and choices- and get curious about what might actually help things shift.
Solution-Focused + Strengths-Based + Gottman-Informed Care
Use what’s already working, build practical skills, and create changes that feel realistic for your life and relationships.
Restoration is not perfection. It’s learning to rebuild yourself with compassion, strength, and hope.
You don’t have to figure it all out before reaching out.
